How to echo a wordpress user role

This will display the user role of any user (member, admin, etc) at the top of the profile form. More position control can be achieved on custom pages and posts

Create a shortcode using the field manager.

Select a shortcode text box:

Title: User role read-only
Visibility: Select where (view, edit mode or everywhere)
Privacy : Only specific member roles (selecting to "profile owners and admin" will cause the admin to see his own name on the user profile page.
Select member role: choose your user role (e.g. member)
Enter the following shortcode: [avnw-wpuserrole]
Conditional rules: Set up your conditional rules if any.

Next Instructions

Go to your WordPress site > wp-content > themes > your-theme > functions.php.

Copy and paste the following code:

    //echo wordpress user role [avnw-wpuserrole]
    function userrole_func( $atts ){
$user = new WP_User(get_current_user_id());
echo $user->roles[0];
    add_shortcode( 'avnw-wpuserrole', 'userrole_func' );
