'ipconfig' not recognized as an internal or external command

Symptom: If you are getting an error:
ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command

It's a symptom that you can't see the windows ip configurations in ipconfig.

If you type "ipconfig" in the Windows start search and find the file, when you click on it, it flashes quickly and disappears.

Solution: Type in the Windows start search "cmd" and hit run to open up the DOS window or black screen. Add the following:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipconfig
Hit enter.

You may have to add it like this:
C:\Users\User>C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipconfig
