[Error]The following words in your search query were ignored

Postby admin » Tue Oct 18, 2016 11:30 pm

When one enters a word in the search function, these errors are displayed:

"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words"

"You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters..."

Go to ACP > General > Search Settings >
Enable search facilities: (switch it off then back on)
Search backend: Fulltext native
Search result cache length: 0
Enable fulltext updating: Yes
Common word threshold: 0%

Then go to ACP > Maintenance > Search Index.
Delete the data table for Fulltext native (active)
Then click on 'create index' button.

This should create a new index table. Make sure the values are not 0.

Leave settings as they were on both search settings and search index pages.

That should fix the problem of no finding any keywords with the search option.
