Restricting view of shortcode in a php page

Use this code in any php page in case you need to display the contents created by a shortcode to a user role. In this example, a shortcode is placed in a page that will only be seen by subscribers:

Code: Select all
    <?php
    $result = add_role( 'Subscriber', __('Subscriber' ),
    array( ) );

    if( current_user_can('Subscriber') ) {

     if ( is_user_logged_in() ) {
        echo do_shortcode('[my-shortcode]');
    }
    } else {
        echo ''; }

    ?>
